A glitter tattoo kit or just stencils?

A complete glitter tattoo kit is an easy starting point when you also need glitter and application supplies. Glitternisti’s Glitter Party, Princess and Rainbow kits include stencils, cosmetic glitters, an adhesive suitable for glitter tattoos and a brush.

A stencil pack is ideal if you already have the other supplies. You can also choose a specific stencil design to match your party theme or the birthday child’s favourite. Each pack of an individual design contains three identical stencils.

Always check the product page for pack contents and quantities. A stencil pack does not include the same supplies as a complete glitter tattoo kit.

What do you need to make a glitter tattoo?

To create a glitter tattoo with a stencil, you’ll need a stencil, an adhesive intended for glitter tattoos or petroleum jelly, cosmetic glitter and a brush.

Choose an area of skin suitable for the products you’re using and apply the stencil. Spread the adhesive or petroleum jelly over the design area and add glitter, following the packaging instructions for adhesive setting time and stencil removal. Gently brush away any excess glitter.

When using the products with children, check age recommendations and instructions before starting. We do not recommend glitter glue for children’s faces.

How long does a glitter tattoo last, and how do you remove it?

How long a glitter tattoo lasts depends on the adhesive, placement, friction and washing. Check the adhesive’s product page for more specific information on wear time and removal.

Remove the tattoo according to the instructions for the product used to secure it. Avoid vigorous rubbing. Collect loose glitter with a cotton pad before washing the skin.

Glitter tattoos and transfer tattoos are different products

A stencil glitter tattoo is created on the skin using glitter glue and glitter. A transfer tattoo comes as a ready-made design that is transferred onto the skin according to the packaging instructions.

If you choose a product such as ready-made glitter freckles, check the product page to see whether it is a transfer tattoo or a decoration applied in another way. Different products require different application and removal methods.
