Would you like to try glitter makeup, but you're not quite sure what you need or how it works? No worries, everyone can succeed with us! Glitter makeup is surprisingly easy, and with just a few products, you'll go a long way.
You only need a couple of products
The basis of glitter makeup is simple. Once your other makeup is done (if you wear makeup), all you need is cosmetic glitter and a glitter adhesive.
We offer a wide selection of glitters that are safe for skin use. Most of our glitters are eco-glitter manufactured in Europe, which biodegrades over 90% within six months. And the glitter jars can be reused, perhaps as a travel-sized container for hand cream!
GLITTER APPLICATION
For glitter application, you can use either a glitter primer or, for example, petroleum jelly (or other water-free balm). Both work perfectly, but glitter primer provides better durability and a brighter finish.
If you want to use face gems, face flowers, or create a glitter tattoo, glitter glue is essential! It ensures that the decorations stay in place all day (or night).
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT GLITTER?
Glitters are a fantastic product because virtually all glitter shades go well together (believe us, this is true!), as their main point is shine, not so much the shades. In our online store, you'll find a very wide selection of glitters in different sizes and shades.
Our selection includes three different glitter sizes: fine, chunky (i.e., larger flakes), and XL size, where the largest glitter is 7 mm. We believe fine glitter is best suited for the mobile eyelid, for making glitter tattoos, or for small glitter makeup looks. Fine glitter easily creates a "painted" surface on the skin, which might not work as well on a large area.
Chunky glitters are super suitable for "traditional" glitter makeup, such as on the cheekbones or lower eyelid, and are among our easiest and most versatile products. The XL size is also easy to use and very striking!
Pro-tip: a dedicated brush for glitter
When doing glitter makeup, it's a good idea to reserve a dedicated brush for glitter. The saying "once in glitter, always in glitter" is true – glitter easily transfers to the next makeup look if you use the same brush for everything.
No need to be a professional
Glitter makeup works just as well on makeup-free faces as it does over a striking party makeup look. You don't need to know anything special or own a pile of different makeup products. Our products make it easy to get started. You can find more tips on our Instagram.
Extra tip for face gem enthusiasts
